Furniture Assembly Line

I had 3 custom rolling shelves to make in order to complete the furniture needed, so I started up an assembly line of sorts to complete them all. I cut all the pieces to size, drilled all the dowels, ironed on the melomine edging, and had them all ready to go for gluing and assembly. It felt like I was assembling my own ikea furniture.

Ready to iron on edging.

Progress of the pieces.

All ready for assembly.

First panels glued.

Clamped.

All sections glued and clamped.

All cleaned up and ready for use.

While I was at it, as the tables are so deep (3 feet) I was able to add some hidden below desk shelving in order to utilize all the space available. I was able to screw some side supports to the existing desk support and cut some more melamine shelves to fit in. Was able to make them 16" deep too, which still left plenty of space underneath with no worry of hitting knees/shins.

Existing support on left, and new support added to frame for the right side.

Fits in well flanked by rolling shelves.

A full look at the big desk with lower shelf... all populated.

Right desk all complete.

And left desk all complete.
