Just been making furniture to house all the tools and materials for the she-shed studio. All I know is, melamine is not super easy to work with, and I don't know how many hundreds of feet of melamine edging I've gone through so far, and I'm not even halfway done with making all the furniture.
Here's some pictures of the finish products.
4'x4' fabric holder. Plus pegboard installed. |
Completed shelving. Made two 2'x4' boxes basically. |
I've only got final photos. The Fabric holder is made with a combo of melamine and pine. The big shelves are all melamine with a pine support at the top to attach them to the walls. I also got some 10" deep metal shelf supports under the shelves at each stud. All the joints are glued like crazy and screwed together with melamine screws. As they are really heavy and are supposed to hold books, etc - I wanted to make sure they weren't going to fall apart / come crashing down.
